About Us

At West Side Charcuterie and Constance Fromagerie, we believe food is an art form, a conversation starter, and a way to bring people together.

Founded by culinary artist and hospitality veteran Rachel Balko, our mission is to turn every gathering into a celebration of flavor, beauty, and connection.

With over 17 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry across Ohio and New York City, Rachel has cultivated a deep commitment to quality, presentation, and unforgettable taste. Her background in the performing arts — holding a Master’s degree in Voice Performance and years of professional work in theater and music — gives her an unmatched eye for detail, storytelling, and the creative flair that infuses every grazing table, cheese display, and artful platter we create.

From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we bring a blend of culinary expertise and artistic vision to every event, crafting experiences that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Whether it’s a lavish grazing table or a thoughtfully curated cheese board, our work is designed to inspire connection, spark joy, and make every bite memorable.

We don’t just make food — we create moments worth savoring.

We can’t wait to create something beautiful for you!

Owner & Founder

Tasha is our business, store, and social media manager — and food stylist — she merges strategic thinking with a gift for aesthetics.

With over 15 years of service industry experience, a Master’s degree in Mental Health, and a career as a therapist, Tasha brings depth, empathy, and connection to every decision she makes. She’s also a spin instructor, channeling the same energy, empowerment, and sense of community from the bike into the shop.

Tasha and Rachel’s friendship began in the theater, where they shared the power of collaboration, storytelling, and creative drive. Today, they lead with a matriarch’s vision — celebrating abundance, connection, and beauty in every gathering they create.
